I had a wonderful stay at 1 Penygroes in Penmachno. the cottage was absolutely charming and exceeded all my expectations. It was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I particularly loved the little extras that were provided, saving me from having to rush out to the grocery store. the location was perfect for a peaceful getaway, and I appreciated being able to use the cottage as a base for exploring the surrounding area. 1 Penygroes provided me with a cozy and memorable experience. Tasteful blend of modern and antique furniture: The cottage's interior was a delightful mix of old and new, like a perfectly curated museum exhibit. It added character and charm to our stay, making us feel like we were living in a fairytale.
Remote location, but that's expected: Being nestled in a rural hamlet meant limited accessibility to shops and restaurants. But hey, it was a small price to pay for the peaceful escape we craved.

The room at Penygroes Cottage in Penmachno was cozy and welcoming, making me feel right at home. It had a lovely view of the surrounding countryside and the bed was super comfy. I loved the rustic charm and the peacefulness of the location.
The only thing I didn't fancy was the lack of a bathtub. But hey, that's just my personal preference.

I had the most wonderful time staying at this cozy cottage for 9 nights with my family of three. The attention to detail by the owner was impressive, with manuals, maps, and even a selection of books and DVDs. The kitchen was well-equipped and the cottage was clean and inviting.

Tastefully furnished with a blend of modern and antique furniture and original watercolours. It felt like staying in a museum, but without the "do not touch" signs. Original features such as the wooden paneling and inglenook fireplace gave the cottage a charming and authentic atmosphere.- The bedroom views towards the hills at the back and across the valley at the front were breathtaking. Waking up to such natural beauty was like having a private art gallery right outside the window.- Complimentary wireless internet access allowed me to stay connected with the world while enjoying the serenity of the countryside.- The on-site free private parking was a relief. No need to worry about finding a spot or paying for parking fees.
Bathroom downstairs, which took some getting used to.

Our stay at 1 Penygroes was fantastic. The cottage was well equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the log burner added a cozy touch on chilly evenings. The location was perfect for exploring North Wales, and the nearby pub was a friendly spot to unwind after a day of walking. The communication with the owner, Jane, was excellent throughout. We hope to return in the future. I highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

This cosy cottage was mind-blowingly well-equipped with super decor and stunning views. The neighbours were friendly, and the parking area easily accommodated two cars. We loved the open fire, FairTrade coffee/tea/sugar, and the twinned toilet. The easy access to Snowdonia National Park and the North Wales coast was jaw-dropping. the cottage had Wi-Fi, free parking and a well-equipped kitchen with an electric kettle and cookware/ kitchen utensils. The flat-screen TV, outdoor dining area, board games, and books about local history provided endless entertainment. This pet-free and non-smoking property was an ideal base for hiking adventures.
